Meryem believes healing begins when people feel safe, heard, and genuinely understood. Her goal is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, gain insight, and move toward meaningful change at their own pace.
She works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Her approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.
Meryem has experience working with diverse communities, including immigrants and refugees, and understands the impact culture, identity, faith, and life experiences can have on mental health. Arabic is her first language, and she provides psychotherapy in both Arabic and English.
Together, Meryem and her clients work to understand emotions, identify unhelpful patterns, strengthen coping skills, and build resilience. She welcomes adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or simply want a supportive place to reflect and grow.
